Each year, we unveil our cruise lineup with new, exciting destinations and options, and we’re pleased to highlight these Royal Caribbean updates for 2017-2018. This year brings several new adventures for travelers, such as cruisetours in Alaska, itineraries sailing through the Norwegian Fjords, and the chance to join our first-ever cruise to Cuba starting in April. Here’s what you need to know as you plan your next vacation. The Great Frontier has long been a favorite destination, and we’ll have more than 50 different trips stopping in Alaska this year, with both Explorer of the Seas and Radiance of the Seas offering weeklong adventures from mid-May through the end of August. When Radiance departs from Vancouver starting May 17, we’ll introduce 12-night cruisetours that offer overnight stays—like spending a night in a backcountry lodge in the wild beauty of Denali National Park. What’s more, we’ve added whale-watching excursions to our visits in Juneau this year, as well as more dining experiences to the 15-deck Explorer, which is fresh from a recent revitalization and departs on roundtrip journeys from Seattle starting May 15. Don’t miss the chance to dine at Italian trattoria Giovanni’s Table and Izumi Japanese Cuisine while onboard. Also starting mid-May, travelers will have a chance to see another fascinating part of the world the Norwegian coastline. They’ll sail between the narrow, towering cliffs onboard Serenade of the Seas—departing from Copenhagen between May and August 19—and will get a chance to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hanseatic Wharf in the historic town of Bergen, Norway; trek past medieval fortresses on a hike to Mount Floyen; or travel back to the time of the Vikings in Stavanger. We’re also making some favorite destinations more accessible by adding more departures from Cape Liberty, in the New York area. East Coasters can board Anthem of the Seas to visit tropical Caribbean destinations like picturesque San Juan, Puerto Rico. The newly enhanced Vision of the Seas also departs from Cape Liberty for Caribbean escapes, then begins sailing to Canada come October. Grandeur of the Seas will sail from Baltimore all year with 12-night Caribbean cruises, and will sail new 9-night itineraries to Nassau and CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas. No matter where you’re headed, there’s an adventure for you, so start exploring itineraries for your next vacation here.
